Health and Fitness

Hi All,

Well, I have been thinking to get control over my health... of course to improve it :)

Biggest challenge is to keep up with the motivation and regular workout regime.

Things I have been trying lately are here !!..and looks like some of them are working. But feel free to comment on :)

  1. Pair up with friends who are also keen on workout and makes concious decision about their health. Just started walking with like minded friends. Today was very cold and windy day, If I was going to go on my own, I had almost convinced myself to not go, but because it was planned with friends, got call from them and finally decided to go and had good 40 minutes walk.
  2. Regular Sport sessions. I tried Gym for few years, I notices few problems with my Gym routine. Firstly  going to Gym was not self motivated and keen activity, Secondly even if I manage to get into Gym, I would just stop when I feel tired or enough of workout. With Sports, I enjoy going to play and look forward to it and even if I get tired in first 15 minutes, I will keep on going and keep playing for good hour or two. Recently joined weekly Tennis sessions which will at least make me play for 1 hour a week..not bad ha...!!!
  3. Use smart phone/ tablet application. I know not all use smart phones, but lot of us are...we spent fare amount of time on smart phones to check things out.. I just got a good Android app called Noom.. Noom is requiring me to set my goal and log my meals and scheduled my workouts. Not saying it is very interesting task, but just because it pops ever every four hours to long my meal, it keep on reminding me to eat well and be good :).. it also pops up to remind me of my scheduled workout session just in case I am thinking to not go :) :)
That's all I have got for now !!..

Will keep on posting as I think of anything on on this matter !!

Thanks,
Ajit
